In Memory of Ron Baker

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Emil Baker, 76, who left us peacefully on April 25, 2024. Ron was born and raised in Northeastern Connecticut, where he spent much of his life. He was a devoted truck driver, and worked for the Towns of Killingly and Hampton, and Cliff Green and Sons.

Ron is survived by his son, Ronald L. Baker, and wife, Melissa (Meagher); his siblings, Jeannie Huber (Kevin Huber) and Gary Baker. He was a cherished grandfather to Megan and Douglas Baker, and a proud great-grandfather to Connor Roof.

Ron found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a regular at local coffee shops and restaurants, where he shared meals and conversations with close friends.

Ron suffered from various forms of cancer for over 10 years due to exposure to contaminated water at Camp Lejeune. Despite this, he lived life to the fullest on his terms.

As a proud Marine, he will be laid to rest at Pike’s Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs on June 13 2024 with full military honors.
